Size Matters....
I have been spending some time checking the breakfast' habits of the students. So this is a brief study of a dozen kids having breakfast at USF where Bon Appetit caters. Now Bon Appetit offers everything: low fat muffins, bagels, donuts, chocolate, cappucino and plain croissants, eggs, potatoes, biscuits, bacon, sausages etc…. And of course coffee, tea, milk cereals etc… Meet this group of 5 girls. I asked if this is what they eat at home. Answers: Nope. Today breakfast was offered because they volunteered. So eggs bathed in ketchup
potatoes, eggs, bagels and tons of cream cheese was part of their menus. One young girl from Hawaii mentioned a normal breakfast at home is 2 cups of rice, 3 to 4 sausage, eggs and guava juice. Ooh la la, what is all this 1200 calories, more??? We are talking 2 cups of cooked rice!! What about this athlete who is filling up on bagels, eggs, cream cheese, and a coke????
I hope she made it to the tennis court…
