Meeting and Talking to Sharon Stone
Sharon Stone came to talk about AIDS at USF. She is now the new Ambassador for Hollywood. (instead of Elizabeth Taylor) Sharon and I, spoke about: Sarkozi (she really likes the French President), the French situation with the Muslims, Obama and Sarkozi, and a lot more in the 10 minutes or so we had together. She even tried to speak in French but she said...I spoke too fast for her. Pleasure meeting you Ms. Stone. Thanks for the good work!

Reading my own X-rays…Or thanking Dr. House
A small fall at work…and here I am at California Pacific Medical Center for my left foot. I feel like it is really bad. May be broken. An excruciating pain is preventing me from putting my foot down. The staff took some x-rays and send them to…………..Australia to be read. Here I am in San Francisco waiting for someone in Sydney or Melbourne to tell me if I can walk again soon or not… Well Australia: you were so wrong. How could you see a double fracture? And where? I got my x-rays on a cd and when I read them,
I could not see any broken bones. Now true, I am not a doctor…but my hero is Dr. House. In one episode, he is showing an intern how to read x-rays and guess what, I feel like I learn something because I played doctor and broken bones, I could not see….So if you need any healthcare, avoid Australia. The only good side, they told me I grew...I am 5'1...Look at the crutches adapted for my height

Meeting Barbara Bush Junior at USF
Well we received orders not to take pictures or have any pictures taken with her. I tried...but it is hard to say "forbidden" to me. So Ms. Bush is behind and I am in the front. You do agree: I did not take any pictures with her or of her. I took a picture of me, and well...she was behind me. Nothing I could do!
Meeting Governor Baca....boring evening with a boring Senator.

Sabirh - Israel UNIQUE Sandwich
Eran enjoying a Sabirh
We read in "Travel Budget" magazine, that in Ramat Gan, a small city outside Tel Aviv where a majority of Jews from Iraq live, there is a sandwich to die for. So we went...And the line was longer that at any restaurant we have been. The owner is a character and his sandwich is D E L I C I O U S! This is from Wikipedia "Sabich, served in a pita bread wrap, traditionally contains fried eggplant, hard boiled eggs, hummus, tahini, Israeli salad, potato, parsley and amba (a mango pickle). Traditionally it is made with eggs cooked for a long time until the white of the egg becomes brown. Sometimes it is doused with hot sauce and sprinkled with minced onion."

Peter Pan in San Francisco...or Eating English Food with Bon Appetit
The English have arrived in San Francisco. I should say Peter Pan and the English troup are here for a few months and we, at Bon Appetit, will take care of their concession stands and catering needs.

Opening Day at the Ball Park....and Good Food at the Same Time
Yes we decided to skip work and go to the baseball game...we were not alone, around 20,000 fans followed us..or may be followed the game.
We got the best seats possible
Now don't ask me about baseball rules...
We ate before the game
We ate during the game...
And we ate after the game...back to Mijitas when we met Tracy DesJardins (Chef and owner of Mijitas)
I am not sure who won, but I enjoyed all the tasty treats of the day!
